That's something I've thought about more than once. 1000 murderous terrorists for Shalit?
Don't get me wrong, I would love to see him released, but how many Jews will die as a result of his release?
I don't know, I'm not the halachic authority to know what the right answer is, but it seems like a tricky subject.
